CO2 intensity reduced
Compared to 2015, Geberit has reduced its CO2 intensity by 38%. Geberit also exceeded its goals when it came to reducing absolute CO2 emissions.
170 eco-design workshops
All new Geberit products have been developed in line with the eco-design principle since 2007. The goal is for every product to be better than its predecessor from an ecological perspective.
On track in terms of sustainability
Since the integration of the energy-intensive ceramics production in 2015, eco-efficiency has improved by 41%.
TOP 1%
The Geberit Group was again awarded the highest rating on the EcoVadis platform for its sustainability management.
Reuse of plastic
Almost 100% of plastic waste is recycled internally and reused.
A safe place to work
Thanks to various measures and training activities, there was an 11% reduction in both accident frequency and severity in 2021.
Meaningful work
In 2021, Geberit commissioned social facilities with work totalling CHF 10 million. This gave around 550 people meaningful work.
Saving water
In comparison with 2015 – the year that saw the integration of the ceramics business – water consumption in production fell by 21%.
