A commitment to green electricity
Geberit relies on green electricity. In 2022, over 70% of the electricity came from renewable energy sources and certified green production.
Saving water
The careful use of water as a valuable resource is absolutely critical at Geberit. Innovative Geberit sanitary products help to save water. According to a model calculation, water consumption for toilet flushing, for example, has decreased since 1952 by around 80% thanks to Geberit dual-flush and flush-stop cisterns.
On the road for good causes
In 2022, 14 Geberit employees travelled to Nepal on a volunteering assignment. In a remote village in western Nepal, they laid water supply lines, secured wells and built water tanks under expert supervision.
180 eco-design products
Since 2007, 180 new products have been developed according to Geberit’s eco-design principle. Every new product should be better than its predecessor from an ecological perspective.
Transparent information
In 2022, products with transparent, externally inspected environmental product declarations accounted for around 30% of Group sales.
Inclusive workplaces
At various Geberit sites in Europe, simple assembly and packaging work is regularly awarded to workshops for people with disabilities. In 2022, this work amounted to around CHF 10 million and gave around 550 people meaningful work.
