Geberit apprentices in Cambodia

The first time on a building site, and the first time in Cambodia: ten Geberit apprentices travel to Siem Reap in October 2024 to install new sanitary facilities at a local primary school. A social project with a huge impact.
In real life, the ten apprentices who travel to Cambodia for the Geberit social project in October 2024 work in many different professions – but plumber is not among them. The young people from Germany, Austria and Switzerland all learn the necessary sanitary know-how in a crash course at the training centre in Rapperswil-Jona (CH). Just a few weeks later, the serious work begins.
This help is urgently needed at Svay Thom Primary School in Siem Reap. Here, there are just over ten WCs and a few urinals for 1,800 schoolchildren and 80 teachers. The goal of the Geberit apprentices is to double the sanitary infrastructure with twelve new WCs, five urinals and two washbasins from the Geberit Bambini series.
Strenuous work with many happy moments. Mediamatics apprentice Denis Baumann captured the Geberit social project 2024 in a short film.
