Reaching new heights

The Brooklyn Tower is a 325-metre-high skyscraper in New York City. Living space is expensive here. This is why space-saving solutions are required – including in the bathrooms of the approximately 550 apartments.

Completed in 2024, the Brooklyn Tower borders the Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn, which was built in 1908. This forms the central inspiration for the architecture of the tower. The hexagonal floor plan matches the one of the bank, while the material concept is also adopted – white marble at the bottom, followed by ascending tiered storeys featuring a mixture of stainless steel, bronze and copper.
Basketball court included
The 93 floors of the Brooklyn Tower offer space for 550 condominiums and rental apartments, as well as leisure facilities and retail space. The 66th floor features the Sky Park with children’s playgrounds and a basketball court, while the 85th floor is home to the Sky Lounge with various bars and an outdoor fireplace with a panoramic view of New York City.
Saving space with Geberit
Average prices per square metre for residential properties in New York City are among the highest in the world. As a result, space-saving solutions were a priority in the construction of the Brooklyn Tower – including in the bathrooms. “Geberit Omega30 concealed cisterns and Omega30 actuator plates are installed in all bathrooms. The challenge was to position the wall-hung WC with maximum aesthetic effect under a large mirror that extends across the entire back wall,” says Jaclyn DeRugeriis, Geberit Sales Manager on the US East Coast. As a result, the residents of Brooklyn Tower can enjoy a bathroom that is both aesthetic and spacious.
