SuperTube in a renovation project

In South Africa, the space-saving SuperTube drainage system has been used for the first time in a renovation project.
Robots at the reception desk, a self-playing piano in the lobby and a free-fall tower like in an amusement park on the roof – the Sky Hotel in Cape Town certainly has a lot to offer. But there is one highlight that hotel guests never get to see: SuperTube is installed in the supply shafts of the building.

A double premiere
This project in South Africa features two firsts – it is the first time SuperTube has been used in the country and also the first time the space-saving drainage technology has been installed in an existing building. The 28-storey former office building was converted into a hotel with over 500 rooms and needed an efficient drainage solution without enlarging the existing ducts. This is where SuperTube came in.
