Time for action!
Twelve Geberit apprentices travelled to Istanbul (TR). Here, they renovated the sanitary installations at a primary school in one of the poorest suburbs of the Turkish city.

with a total of 48 toilets and washbasins are now available to the children in a primary school in Istanbul.
Since 2008, Geberit apprentices have been given the opportunity to demonstrate their team spirit, willingness to learn and skills as part of an annual project aimed at supporting social institutions in other countries. Geberit provides the materials and the apprentices install them under technical supervision.
“I am really looking forward to this project, particularly creating improved hygiene standards for the children,” explains Marlene Reschenhofer, apprentice metal and electrical engineer from Pottenbrunn (AT) weeks before setting off to Istanbul. The apprentices shot a film during their stay detailing how the team dealt with all the challenges during the social project 2022.
