Opening the door to sales

David Delibato is one of the first people to take part in a new programme for promoting young talents in sales – and is a huge fan of Geberit: “There are few things better in life!”
Graduate economist David Delibato is the first participant in the new Sales Development Programme (SDP) – a programme for promoting university graduates with an economics or technical background.

David Delibato is no stranger to Geberit: during his studies, he takes part in internships at Pfullendorf (DE) and writes his master’s thesis on data protection at the site. During this time, he comes in contact with sales colleagues – and quickly realises that field sales is the right fit.
Now, he is learning more about the various areas of sales on a national and international level and is able to make a significant contribution to projects at the point where management, field service and office service meet: “I still have a lot to learn on the technical side of things. However, you are quickly made to feel at home here.” His colleagues are on hand with unconditional support and are always there to share their in-depth expertise.
Building on good experiences
The SDP is modelled on the successful Operations Development Programme (ODP), which focuses on production and logistics, and aims to inspire talented young people to join the sales team. Claudia Straub from Corporate Human Resources helped develop the programme: “After the positive experiences with the ODP, we now want to strengthen the sales team.”
The programme starts at a sales site in Germany or Sweden. The participants then work internationally for at least one year. The goal is for them to take on a management position at a later date.
