The first external event for architects held by Geberit Belgium is a resounding success. This is likely due to finding the right speaker and a fantastic location.

Sold out in a matter of minutes. Geberit Belgium’s first external event for architects – held in the cosy garden of the historic Rubenshuis in Antwerp – is the hottest ticket in town. Here, around 90 guests enjoy a stand-up dinner, share experiences and examine exhibits on topics such as WC systems, Geberit Bambini and Pluvia roof drainage.

“We couldn’t believe our eyes,” says Roos De Grote, Head of Media and PR at Geberit in Belgium. “But the location we selected was a big hit.” The Rubenshuis – once the home of renowned artist Peter Paul Rubens and now the site of a museum dedicated to his work – is currently being extensively redesigned. The new foyer area with Rubens’ library is the first part of the project and is the work of well-known architecture firm Robbrecht en Daem – whose participation also attracts a larger audience.

The right choice

The chosen location is perfect: virtually the entire Geberit portfolio is installed here, from the supply system and cisterns through to taps. “We come from a technical background,” says Managing Director José Wyns. “With such events, we want to subtly increase brand awareness among architects – we are present, but not intrusive.”
